Trofie with zucchini and walnut pesto
This recipe was prepared by Emanuela who chose our Trofie paired with a zucchini and walnut pesto.
It is a first course rich in nutrients but also a valid single dish for those with a calorie deficit, it will be tasty even without grated cheese.
Our traditional trofie are a tribute to Ligurian cuisine and combined with Genoese pesto they represent a great classic. The addition of walnuts makes it even more flavorful and nutritious. A perfect solution for the whole family.

Ingredients
2 green courgettes
140 g Trofie
50 g of grated cheese
4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
10 nuts
5 basil leaves
Salt to taste.
Preparation
- Cut the courgette with the “brunoise” cut into cubes, finely dice the basic and the walnuts, reducing them to powder.
- In the blender, add the oil and walnuts, blend at rapid speed for a few seconds, then add the zucchini, basil and cheese.
- If necessary, use more oil than the indicated dose, also add salt.
- Meanwhile, boil the water in a saucepan, add the salt, then pour in the pasta.
- Cook for the time indicated on the package.
- Drain the pasta and in a pan sauté a few minutes with the sauce.
