Biova Pasta Integrale

BIOVA ROSSA is a craft beer made with the surplus of WHOLEMEAL pasta. Biova Pasta Integrale is a high-fermented amber beer, well balanced, fragrant and with a strong taste, like the wholemeal pasta with which it is made!

The product was born as a circular economy project and to combat food waste, in the name of respect for the environment and the pursuit of innovation, especially in terms of sustainability.

Food waste is certainly one of the biggest problems of our age: for this each of us must do our part.

SAVE THE PASTA – A NEW BEER IS BORN

Pasta Has A Second Life, Beer!

This product was born from the collaboration between Pasta Berruto and Biova Project thanks to a daily sharing of common values, thoughts and corporate philosophies: love for nature, respect for the environment and the pursuit of innovation, especially in terms of sustainability.

In fact, this project stems from an urgency that we particularly feel, that relating to food waste. According to the FAO, 1/3 of all the food produced on the planet is lost or wasted every year, for a total of 900 billion euros. Food waste is certainly one of the biggest problems of our age, which is why each of us must do our part.

From this awareness comes Biova Pasta, the first beer made from pasta surplus, a circular economy project and fight against food waste.

Biova Project, primarily focused on the recovery of bread, has expanded its research by focusing on a new recipe made with our own pasta. After a few months of tests, trials and checks, it was possible to demonstrate that 2,500 liters of excellent craft beer can be made with 200 kg of pasta.
