EATING PASTA AT DINNER DOES NOT GET FAT
It was confirmed by the ISS and was also affirmed on the occasion of World Sleep Day: eating pasta for dinner not only does not make you fat but relaxes and facilitates sleep. The Istituto Superiore di Sanità, through its blog dedicated to false food myths, argues that "the belief that carbohydrates should be excluded from the diet, or that it is better to consume them during the day and not in the evening, is groundless".
So Yes to pasta in the evening - Green light to a good plate of pasta at dinner, as also claimed by Luca Piretta nutritionist and gastroenterologist, member of the Board of Directors of the Italian Society of Food Sciences (SISA): "In pasta there are tryptophan and vitamin b for the relaxation of mind and body, pasta is also an excellent ally in the evening, especially if we are stressed, if we suffer from insomnia or if we complain of premenstrual syndrome ”.
"For those who have difficulty sleeping at night - confirms the ISS - a dinner based on carbohydrates seems to favor night rest, stimulating the production of serotonin (the molecule of well-being) useful for going to sleep more relaxed and full".
Pasta in the evening does not make you fat - The Istituto Superiore di Sanità also dispels another false myth about pasta: "In reality, carbohydrates do not necessarily make you fat and this does not change according to the time in which they are consumed: you mainly get fat due to an excess of calories introduced and an incorrect distribution of nutrients with respect to the body's needs. If you eat more than necessary, the increase in body fat is independent of the composition of the diet: in fact, the total calories that count ".
Therefore, it is important to pay attention to the "how" and "what" we eat, rather than the "when".
